New website launches for Amrap 

Our team's been working tirelessly to bring you amrap.org.au - the new experience for broadcasting Australian music.
Entertain your listeners with music from around the country. Check out the website's new features include:
  • Filtering - allows broadcasters to search by genre, identity, and location; 
  • Profile pages - artists and musicians have profile pages that provide a more personable experience and improved searchability. Profile pages can be easily updated with photos, bios, new music, tour dates;
  • Create and share playlists - broadcasters can create and share playlists - revealing which tracks they’re loving; 
  • Live chat - a chat mechanism on the site to provide feedback and get questions answered; and 
  • Editorials - read articles about all things music industry related!
The Amrap Charts will remain the same - shining a spotlight on emerging Aussie artists.

The Mosquito Army - Ep 3


Do you hate mosquitos? Those pesky, buzzing biters… Bet you never thought they'd be the ones to call in a fire emergency! Airing this week, the third episode of the From the Embers podcast, tells the story of the mosquitos southern NSW learnt to love last November, as towns like Mongarlowe, Cooma and Braidwood faced near-impossible fire conditions.

Master the basics of broadcasting with AFTRS

While we continue practicing social distancing and remaining indoors, why not increase your broadcast knowledge or discover skills you never knew you had? CBF COVID-19 Crisis Grants

This grant is one of a series of measures implemented by CBF to support our sector to manage the impacts of COVID-19. The CBF has announced non-competitive, one-off grants to help stations offset the loss of income through sponsorship, donations, and fundraising events. More information is available in SmartyGrants about how your application will be assessed and the reporting requirements.

Now one of Oz hip hop’s most enduring acts comes full circle - Hilltop Hoods is hosting Australian Music Is Bloody Great on community radio nationwide this Friday morning via CBAA's Community Radio Network! You'll hear them share their recent Oz music faves.

CSAs are available for COVIDSafe 

 
The Australian Government Department of Health has released more English-language announcements about the government's COVIDSafe app.

Currently available are:  
  • 10 (including 3 new) x 15 to 30-second CSAs in English.
  • 14 x 1 to 2-minute CSAs in various First Nations languages.
  • Multilingual CSAs sorted by state as they become available
