Eve Selis

Eve Selis returns to the U.K. this summer with a tour supporting her new record, See Me With Your Heart, produced by GRAMMY-award winning producer Kenny Greenberg (Allison Moorer, The Mavericks, Joan Baez, Ashley Cleveland). Greenberg and his team of Nashville’s finest added a new dimension to Selis’ music, creating at once a vast sonic soundscape for her powerhouse vocals and a lush intimate backdrop for the most personal songs of her career. See Me With Your Heart, her first album in nearly five years, redefines who Eve Selis is as a singer, a songwriter and as an artist. She returns with her stellar band for a three-week tour with fire in her bones and new songs in her heart.

On See Me With Your Heart (her 9th studio album), produced by GRAMMY-winner Kenny Greenberg (Allison Moorer, The Mavericks, Joan Baez), Eve Selis delivers 11 songs forged in the fires of physical, emotional and spiritual healing.

A rollerblading accident in the summer of 2014 left this 7-time San Diego Music Award winner with a torn hamstring and 6 long months of rehabilitation. What would have been “down” time for some became a time of cleaning up, growing up and stepping up for Selis. This period of quiet introspection led her on a journey of honest self-discovery and planted the seeds of a new artistic vision in her fertile heart. She set out to write from a place of vulnerability and even more openness than ever before. “One positive thing that my injury did for me,” says Selis, “was to force me to slow down and be more present in my life. Unconditional love is a concept that runs throughout the songs on this CD, with unconditional love of myself being the hardest to accept.”

“These songs look deep into the truth of my life as I am today. I had to face the wounds without flinching and learn to celebrate the scars. We all have them and they make up who we are. Instead of being ashamed of the scars we should rejoice. It means we’ve healed, and that ultimately, ‘Love Has The Final Say.’”

The title track “See Me With Your Heart” was the first song written, and set the tone conceptually for the entire project. It was written as a submission for the animated film The Little Prince and captures the simple wisdom of that classic book— seeing past the external to the essential. And beyond that, letting love rule the day.

She enlisted her musical partner of 25 years, songwriter/guitarist Marc “Twang” Intravaia, to help finish the writing as well as her long-time Nashville collaborator Kim McLean and award-winning San Diego songwriter Calman Hart. When the songs were ready she knew she had something special and contacted Nashville producer/guitarist Kenny Greenberg to help her realize her vision. Greenberg and his team of Nashville’s finest added a new dimension to Selis’ music, creating at once a vast sonic soundscape for her powerhouse vocals and a lush intimate backdrop for the most personal songs of her career. See Me With Your Heart redefines who Eve Selis is as a singer, a songwriter and as an artist.

Juliet Huns

Juliet Huns is a Kenyan singer and songwriter. Born in Kenya and raised in Ghana, Juliet started her music career at the age of 15 in Ghana writing and producing music.

At the age of 19 Juliet convinced her parents to support her music career and they agreed to. Although, they only gave her six months to build a solid foundation for her music.

On 11th February 2016, Juliet came to Los Angeles to record her first ever EP ‘Behind The Scenes’ and worked with Producer Luke Sanchez at 17 hertz studio in North Hollywood. She also released her first music video ‘Gone’

In June, Juliet got an opportunity to display her talent live at The Mint venue in Los Angeles but she had to cancel due to the fact that she would be violating immigration laws.

But Juliet continues to work hard. In July, she is part of a Deluxe Album Release with Producer Jonathan Hay and also Mike Smith and King Tech of BET’s TV show One Shot.

Take Me To Pitcairn - Full Documentary

The Pitcairn Islands are a loosely grouped handful of tiny islands in the remote South Pacific, farther from any continent than any other inhabited island. The islands are the last British colony in the South Pacific and the most isolated British dependency, apart from Tristan da Cunha. The rugged main island was settled by the infamous mutineers of the HMS Bounty and their Polynesian companions, and most of Pitcairn's mere four dozen current inhabitants are their descendants. They are one of the least-populated entities given an ISO country code (PN).

See Pitcairn Islands
================= The remains of the Bounty are in Bounty Bay. The ship was deliberately burned and sunk by the mutineers, and it's been well picked over by divers in the meantime, but there's still an allure to seeing (what little is left of) the vessel of the true tale that made "Captain Bligh" and "the Bounty" household names. The Bounty's anchor is on display in front of the Public Hall in the town square, where the library/post office building, and the Adventist church can also be found. The new museum in Adamstown contains artifacts from the Bounty (including Fletcher Christian's Bible), stamps, issues of National Geographic featuring the islands, and other items of local interest. One of the ship's four cannons is planned to be displayed here. The island's school lies up in the western "suburbs" of Adamstown. The grave of John Adams, the last surviving mutineer who first Christianised the community, the only one with a preserved grave. Fletcher Christian's cave, past the school and further up, is where the lead mutineer is said to have watched for approaching ships and/or hid from his ruthless fellow settlers when necessary. A Galapagos tortoise named Mrs. Turpin was left on the island in the early 20th century, and now lives in Tedside on the northwest shore of the island. Taro Ground which is in the southern part of Pitcairn is the largest flat area on the island and site of the island's traditional link to the outside world: its ham radio station. Flatland is a smaller plateau at the upper extent of Adamstown, with a tennis court, volleyball, and picnic facilities. Garnet's Ridge, at 300 m one of the highest parts of a tall island, offers great views to both the west and east. Highest Point is the... highest point on the island, at 337 m. Down Rope, a cliff on the southeast edge of the island, has ancient Polynesian petroglyphs in its face and an isolated sandy beach at its base. Gudgeon is a sea-level cave on the southwest side of the island, which hides a sandy beach in a large, wide space carved by the waves.

Do Pitcairn Islands
====================== If the ocean is calm enough, go swimming in St. Paul's Pool, a picturesque tidal pool nestled among the seaside rocks in eastern part of Pitcairn. (Swimming in the ocean itself generally isn't safe due to the rocky shoreline.) Sail yourself or perhaps travel with the locals to another of the islands. Oeno has sandy beaches suitable for swimming, Henderson offers rare opportunities for birdwatching and exploration of ancient caves (dwellings?), and both are good for snorkeling or scuba diving among coral reefs and a few shipwrecks. Ducie is over 300 miles away, out of range of the islanders' boats, and therefore rarely visited, but is also good for seeing rare birds. Every year on January 23, "Bounty Day" is celebrated with a huge community dinner and the burning of a model of the Bounty.

Alabama rapper “YunggV

Alabama rapper “YunggV” born Vincent Hendricks began rapping at a young age. YunggV felt it was impossible to make it out of his neighborhood while growing up in a single parent home. Growing up, YunggV saw a lot and it made him think a lot.

He kept a lot of things to himself and rapping was a way of venting.  He started taking rap seriously in 2008 after his best friend was killed.  He was in a group called “Money Bag Gang" and released a mixtape dedicated to his friend in 08-09 called “All or Nothing”.

As of today, YunggV is working on his solo project EP Album, “Just Wanna Be Great” and the first single, “Successful” is available on iTunes. YunggV’s single, Successful, has been on the CMJ Hip Hop Charts for six weeks and peaked at number 13 as of January 2016.

His YouTube video for Successful has been viewed over 147,000 times.

Pinky Lee - Television's Poineer that Created TV's Variety Show Platform

Words can not do justice to this bizarre artifact. Make sure to watch the whole thing--it is utterly surreal. It strains the imagination to fathom the intentions of those who produced this thing. What were they thinking? Not for the Weak of Heart -- Greg Carmack

Fast paced is an understatement. I would use the word frantic. As a side note, should they really be donating a crying doll to an orphanage ? The Pinky Lee Show -- Karltonthedoorman

Well? I honestly think it's better than "I Love Lucy". Well?? -- Classic_TV_and_Radio_Fan

I had not seen this show since the 1950's. I have wondered what ever happened to him. I was about 6 years old when the show was on TV in 1955. It came on about 2:30 or 3:00 in the afternoon and Howdy Doody came on right after it. I remember sneeking up from afternoon naps to watch it and getting caught one time by my grandmother. How times have changed, it wouldn't even get on the air these days. Memories from the 50's -- Ricky Dee

What the producers and performers of this show where thinking was to have an entertaining show for children. Pinky Lee was a former burlesque comic and I have to admire his energy and ability to keep the show moving along! I think it was nice of them to gift children of a children's hospital (not an orphanage) with a doll that was popular with children at the time. I cannot find anything "surreal" about this show and cannot imagine how anyone could unless they simply fail to understand this was a life television show, something the current knockleheads doing TV have no idea how to do, performed on a stage designed for children with a live audience of children. Good Stuff. -- drdee51

Loved this show as a kid and it's still fun 50+ years later. Just wanted to answer the question of what ever happened to Pinky: he lived well into his 80's (1907-1993), bless his heart! You can get the story here: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0498035/bio - Big thanks to whoever uploaded this one! Where's Pinky? -- flatdisk
