THE CATHOLIC GIRLS ASK YOU TO “KISS ME ONE MORE TIME

On April 6, the all-female rock group, The Catholic Girls, who have performed nearly continuously from the 80s through the present, have just released a new CD, “Kiss Me One More Time”.  The CD contains 8 brand new tracks that range from solid rockers like “Shame On You” to the power pop tune, Where’sThe Logic” the band’s tribute in memoriam to Leonard Nimoy and his portrayal of Mr. Spock on Star Trek.  The CD also features the hardcore blues-styled “Kiss Me One More Time”, and the riveting ballad, “Don’t Go Away”.  A definite highlight is the song, “Breaking All The Rules”, which serves as an anthem for all female bands everywhere and throughout the ages.  There is also The Catholic Girls' ode to New Jersey (where the band is located), dedicated to The Jersey Shore specifically – Attention Chris Christie;  “Down at The Shore” should be THE New Jersey Theme Song.  The last 3 tracks include a heart-rending new version of “God Made You” (the ‘epic’ song that was banned by The Archdiocese of Rhode Island in the 80s) from their first release, along with two bonus live tracks. “Young Boys” and “Boys Can Cry”.

The Catholic Girls were born when schoolgirls Gail Petersen and Roxy Andersen put their guitars together to form the first East Coast all-female band that would be signed to a major label.  With Doreen Holmes on drums, The Catholic Gils released an album on MCA both in the USA and Australia.  Since then they have been putting out new work on CDs such as “Meet The Catholic Girls” and “Exposed”, and touring to glowing reviews.  John Pfieffer of The Aquarian Weekly has said of their music that it is “a roughly tumbled gem that showcases a group that has done things their own way, made many successful trips to the altar…and when it comes to their approach to writing recording and releasing – it’s quirky jangle-laden pop rock music without pomp and circumstance.”  Jim Testa of Jersey Beat said, “Petersen still has that distinctive plaintive yearning in her vocals, more womanly than girlish now but nonetheless affecting, Andersen’s new-wavy guitar still shimmers and glows, the harmonies still send a shiver down your spine, and the songwriting still communicates female longing, dreams and heartbreak”  You can expect the new CD Kiss Me One More Time to have the same effect and more.

The Catholic Girls will be touring in the New York/New Jersey/Pennsylvania area to support this new CD and additionally, a special acoustic show as an opening band for Melanie of “Candles In The Wind” fame.  They will also be appearing on many radio stations such as WFMU, WTSR, WMFO. WFDU, Home Grown Radio, Cyberstorm,  IndieScene Radio and on Little Steven’s Underground Garage with Genya Ravan with interviews, playing cuts from the CD, and telling stories about the songs themselves and what it is (and was) like to be a working all-female rock band.

Sarantos

Sarantos Releases His Most Powerful Singer And Songwriter Piece "What If I Never See You Again" Which He Wrote After His Father's Death As He Struggled To Cope & Recover.

Death is a very traumatic time for everyone involved. When a parent passes away, the grieving process begins. Does it ever end though? Although the memories of your parents stay with you forever, probably one of the questions that most lingers is if you will ever see them again. This touching melody makes that the central theme. While there is no other well-known song written specifically about this concept, it seems like a topic that has been experienced by many.

The grieving process comes and goes. However, whether people are religious or not, they will naturally wonder if they will see their parents again in some way or another. It seems that it is common for humans to ask this question after the death of a parent. This will also probably bring to the forefront new questions about the complexity of our planet and maybe our deliberate designer who not only created the universe but also helps sustain it today. Eventually, the question becomes does God really exist. Is there really a heaven? Will I see my dead parent again - in heaven or elsewhere?? What will happen to me after I pass away? The questions will come. Unfortunately, no one will answer them definitively for you.

These are all the real questions that will run through one's mind as they deal with the death of a parent. Sarantos knows this because it happened to him. So he decided to try to capture the essence of this frustration and exasperation one sleepless night and the song was born. The song, melody, rhythm and length fit the mood and feel of this night.

“This is a classic indie singer-songwriter song about what happens to the living after the dead are gone," says Sarantos. “Specifically, we always think it's easier when a parent passes away and leaves behind their children, regardless of the age. I do think that is true and no parent should ever have to bury his child. This song, however, was born one long sleepless night two years after the death of my father. I still didn't have the closure I craved or even a sense of purpose or balance. I was still lost inside although my dad was 74 when he died! I feel terrible even admitting that when others never know their dad or lose him as a child.  On this night, the main question I had that I could not answer was - what if I never see him again?? So I wrote a song about it...”

33% of any music-related sales profits from this song are going straight to The National Center For Fathering.

The National Center for Fathering (Fathers.com) is a nonprofit educational organization that strives to improve the lives of children and establish a positive fathering and family legacy that will impact future generations by inspiring and equipping fathers and father figures to be actively engaged in the life of every child.

More than 24 million children live in a home without the physical presence of a father.  Millions more have dads who are physically present, but emotionally absent.  If it were classified as a disease, fatherlessness would be an epidemic worthy of attention as a national emergency.

Sarantos' music has received rave reviews, and he relishes this chance to pursue his life long dream. Sarantos' unique sound has been best described by industry insiders as "an emotionally powerful vocal style masterfully united with music that is a fusion of classic 80s rock blended with modern soft rock and pop music."

Sarantos won the Akademia LA Music Awards in March 2015 for:
- Best Rock Music Video for “We Accept The Love We Think We Deserve”
- Best Pop Rock Album for “Not Where I Wanna Be”

Sarantos was nominated in 2014 for 2 awards for the 2014 International Music & Entertainments Awards, for the categories of “Rock Song of the Year” and “Pop Album of the Year.”

With recorded hits and new tunes waiting to be released every single month until the day he dies, Sarantos' music screams success and stimulates an overdue conversation in the changing music industry. Sarantos' loyal music fans continue to show their support by proudly showing off Sarantos merchandise and staying tuned into Sarantos' daily down-to-earth and very real social media revelations. His songs are being broadcast every day on various radios stations around the world. Sarantos continues to do interviews around the world every single week and fans can listen in to some of them on his YouTube page. Let’s not forget his funny, sarcastic, witty and genuine music videos that leave his fans not knowing what to expect next.

There will be plenty of continued buzz throughout the year as Sarantos strives to release something for his fans every single week. Every year until the day he dies, Sarantos will release a new song on the 1st Tuesday of every month, a new music video on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, a chapter from his fiction/fantasy book on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, and a new Whiteboard video on the 4th Tuesday of every month. A new CD will then be released every November.

Sarantos has been writing lyrics since 4th grade and is passionate about the words he puts to the music. Music was always in his blood. Music was always a passion and much more than a hobby. Sarantos has written over 2,000 songs. Having undergone several personal challenges with Sarantos' father passing away four years ago after a long hard-fought battle with lung cancer, dealing with personal health issues like asthma and allergies which affected his singing style, going thru life's ups and downs, the timing was finally right. And so it began. Sarantos' main motivation remains, however, to raise money for charity.

33% of any music related sales are going straight to charity.

Sarantos has always been inclined to help people in need and is proud to launch his music as a way to donate a portion of proceeds to charity, hopefully inspiring other artists to do the same. Just a few of the charities chosen so far include the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, Make-a-Wish Foundation, American Heart Association, St Jude's, Hellenic Academy, American Red Cross, Salvaton Army, Children's Hospital of Chicago...

The website, Melogia (which in Greek means "with words") was established by Sarantos, an aspiring singer and song writer.

*Because Sarantos wants his music shared throughout the world, fans can always find all of his songs, lyric sheets, videos and books on his website for free at https://www.melogia.com/music.html. He openly gives everyone the right to share his song mp3s for free with anyone they want via email or any of the social media platforms.

Sarantos Mission or Goal:

"My goal when you listen to one of my songs is very simple. I want you to feel the need to:
-Sing
-Dance or move to the groove
-Play the song over and over again"

Caleb James Davis

With the release of his new single "All I Can Do", Caleb James Davis brings a new feel to a classic genre by using an indie approach to classic folk all while using the emotional platform good folk songs are built from. The single guides with soft struck progressions, soulful vocal, and the smooth layered melodies of a saxophone to bring added texture and life to it as a whole. All in all the song comes from a place anyone can understand.

"All I Can Do is just the beginning of the phrase “All I Can Do is want you.” It's a simple enough idea presented in fairly vague but poetic terms. The lyrics aim to tackle or at least explore the idea of love at first sight while already being in a relationship. It is something that most of us are faced with at one point or another and then more often then not expected to remain silent about. In my case meeting someone and knowing that the “right” thing to do is not to pursue this other person but still retaining that feeling of loss. Wondering if maybe this individual was the not just the “one” but maybe the will of something greater." Caleb says of his single.

Before the release of "All I Can Do", Caleb had released an EO by the name of Old & New. A set of songs reaching into a more Americana folk sound but still in a similar vein. Addictive progressions, and melodic vocals,  and a unique phrasing style at times. All this was preparation for evolving as a songwriter.

Caleb explains, "Less is more. Less is more with lyrics, instrumentation and recording. Being able to hear every instrument as a cohesive whole is very important when recording. Tracking this song helped give me a more clear idea of how I want to produce and write my music. Lyrically it was very simple, I wrote it as if I was writing a poem. The experience of removing the music from the lyrics allowed me to spend more time on the lyrics, shaping them to how I really wanted them to read and sound."

Caleb James Davis had been writing songs for over six years and it all began from playing guitar as a supplement to his drumming, his primary instrument. Growing up listening to country music, the natural thing was to pick up a guitar and start writing. After moving to Vermont and having no outlet for drumming, Caleb kept himself busy by writing songs and performing locally. He know continues writing and furthering his musical education as he peruses a Music Performance Degree.

With the release of "All I Can Do", caleb is planning on playing shows in the greater Boston area, as well as putting together a Southeast tour.

Brad Tucker

Brad Tucker

Canadian born singer/songwriter Brad Tucker has been writing and performing music professionally since 1996 with the release of his first studio recording "The Color of Love". He was first recognized nationally in 2003 with a prestigious nomination for an ECMA Award, along- side of major artists including Anne Murray, Great Big Sea, and The Rankin Family. As his musical journey came to fruition, more nominations and awards followed. "I'm thankful for my accomplishments so far, but the greatest reward for me is seeing the hearts of my fans being touched in a positive way", say's Tucker. He continued, “We have the power as musicians to speak to the lives of people and to me that only leaves one choice... positive verses negative". Brad is a great entertainer with real emotion in his vocal performance. His songs come from his heart and reflect his values, and the stories come from personal experiences that everyone can relate to.

Brad’s new album reflects his talent both as a singer and as a songwriter.  His entire album is the best of the best, utilizing Brad’s talents with the collaboration of some of Music City’s best songwriters, and produced by Emmy award winner Kenny Royster and Grammy nominated producer Kent Wells, both veteran producers in Nashville. There’s a lot more music constantly turning in Tucker’s heart and mind and we expect to see him climbing the charts with his hit songs! Brad offers something for listeners of all ages.

RG Ingersoll's "Something" climbs the Charts to Number #1

MEMPHIS TN (IFS) -- The quasi-rock, gospel, soul infused "Something (To Believe In)" by RG's All Nite Funk Band from Reno, Nevada is the talk of the town these days as the producer and songwriter's song pushes the envelope and tops the charts for the second week in a row.  This song really should make Sony ATV Music stand up and give in to the tastes of the listening public.

It;s just a magical song with lots of hope and fun.  It could be said that it's a Pharrell Williams "Happy" in a different jacket.
